Imagine your grandmother has just passed away. After the funeral, you and your cousins are reminiscing in her basement over a few beers. While you guys are going through some of the things that she left behind, you stumble upon a box marked with the names of her grandchildren.
In it there's a letter addressed to you and your cousins. She writes that every object in this box represents some life lesson that she's learnt over the course of her time here. She writes that she wanted to pass down everything she knows to her grandchildren.
And that's the purpose of the In The Life Of section of Killing Buddha. It's a collection of the things that interviewees would want pass down to their grandchildren to teach them the life lessons that they've learnt.
